La Venta Inn
Built in 1923, La Venta Inn became the first property on the beautiful hill of Palos Verdes Estates, California. Surrounded by the sea-breeze, this venue is nothing short of amazing from the moment you walk in. Not only is it gorgeous at first sight, but the more you explore, the more the rich history shines through. From operating as a Club House for the first 2 years to becoming a working military base during WWII, you can feel the magic in each room.
Although the venue has had renovations to make the space perfect for holding your wedding, they did keep the original fireplace AND original chandelier which truly give the space so much character. Beyond this, one of the most amazing parts of La Venta Inn has to be the design - it has SO much natural light AND all white walls which is perfect for wedding photos (and if you’re a wedding photographer, you better be smiling ear to ear knowing that you’ll be able to bounce your flash in every direction). They really created the perfect space that combines beauty, history and convenience for all vendors involved.
The ceremony space is just stunning and pictures really don’t do it justice. We had a bit of fog the day we photographed and even still, the view of the water just couldn’t get any better. They also have the most elegant getting ready spaces for the Bride and Groom with anything you could ask for included. And yes - all the natural light you need to capture the best photographs. Beyond that, everywhere you walk is a photo opportunity. With arches filled with flowers, staircases, a fountain entrance and more, you really don’t have to venture far out for your portraits. La Venta Inn holds about 140 Weddings every year and if you’re looking for a California dream wedding, this venue is one to check out.
