3 Things You Don’t Want to Miss On Your Wedding Day

I know your wedding day is a busy day, often times planned right down to the minute, and sometimes it can feel a little overwhelming. Here are just 3 things that you don’t want to miss on your wedding day.

  1. Participating in Cocktail Hour - I know cocktail hour is designed for the guests and often times, the bride and groom are off taking photos during this time and I am definitely not suggesting to cancel that. That said, in my experiences chatting with brides after their weddings, a lot of said that they wished they got to stop into cocktail hour, say hi to a few people and grab a snack. If that’s something on your wish-list, make it happen! Stop in for a few moments, grab a drink and chat with your guests.

  2. Seeing the Venue prior to Reception - Some people spend over a year planning their wedding days, down to the little details and walking into your venue to admire that can be really nice. It’s like a grand reveal of everything you’ve been working towards, before you see it filled with guests. This is also a great photo opportunity to get some couple shots with an empty, fully decorated venue.

  3. FOOD - So often, there’s a bride or groom who hasn’t eaten anything all day until dinner, and even then they’re often on the move making their rounds to guest tables. Take a minute, recharge and eat some of the amazing food you planned for the day.

Weddings can go by in the blink of an eye and there’s so much happening that it’s important to remember that this is YOUR day. Enjoy it as much as you can.
