Crestline Elopement
First off, this venue was perfect! Everything was held at Holly Hill, a vacation rental that’s peaceful, magically and romantic, with the most amazing mountain views. They operate within @intimatemountainweddings to really transform your elopement into something meaningful, taking it from a regular mountain getaway and creating a just stunning day of love. AND - the owner had an AMAZING vintage car that we used for the couple photos. This definitely elevated the photos and made for a fun experience for the couple. The florals here were done by Wild Orchid Florist and it was the perfect match for the day. Simplistic, yet powerful.
We started off the day with the most fun part of the wedding - THE FLAT LAYS! (yes, I love a good flat lay.) and then transitioned into getting the bride and groom ready for their big day! The bride photos went first and then we did the groom a little more unconventionally beside the vintage car - what can I say, we really wanted to utilize that bad boy. The venue was such a nice little space for them to get dressed, fix up their hair and make-up and prepare to get married! And just outside the room, you were welcomed on a patio with mountain views - AND IT WAS A GREAT MOUNTAIN VIEW. Let me tell you, eloping never felt so comfortable and relaxing.
Once the intimate portion of the wedding was done, the party began! This couple kept things simple and classic in every detail. The cake, made by @cakeboxonmain was an elegant masterpiece and fit the intimate wedding vibe so perfectly. OF COURSE, we had a champagne tower and again the bride and groom kept it simple and clean the whole way through. My approach to photographing both these portions is to give the bride and groom some space to ENJOY. I’m here to get your candid moments. It seems obvious enough but I can never stress enough how valuable it is, especially in an elopement, to make sure that the couple is really feeling the intimacy of the day.
